The competition was first held in 1987, and South Africa and New Zealand hold the most titles with three each.
Six Nations
The Six Nations Championship is an annual competition where, you guessed it, six international sides battle it out to be crowned champions. The six teams are:
- England
- Wales
- Ireland
- Scotland
- Italy
- France
The tournament began in 1883 as the Five Nations, but since 2000 it has been known as the Six Nations as Italy joined the competition.
