The U.S. Open is the third of golf's four major events, and one of the oldest having been established all the way back in 1895. The U.S. Open is held at a different venue every year, and in 2023 it had the biggest prize pot of any major.

The Open Championship is the oldest golf tournament in the world, dating back to 1860. Sometimes called the British Open or just simply The Open, it's the only one of golf's majors to be held outside the United States.
